MICROPULSE — IPG
| NDI Medical's MICROPULSE® neurostimulation system features the smallest available multi-channel rechargeable, wireless, controlled implantable pulse generator (IPG) specifically intended to work with a variety of mono- and bi-polar leads. The system is the result of years of research and development. The Micropulse is customizable, and it is designed to accelerate and enhance success in the development, manufacturing and marketing of neurostimulation products.
NDI has developed the Micropulse Software Platform designed to be scalable and modular in accommodating a wide range of neurostimulation applications. The modules can be configured to produce highly reliable neurostimulation products to minimize time-to-market. The Platform includes a complete set of software applications encompassing the IPG-embedded code within the pulse generator, patient battery charger unit, clinician programmer, and patient controller.

In a typical application, a clinician uses the wireless Micropulse programmer to set the Micropulse IPG stimulus parameter and timing patterns. The programmer and patient controller can be used at distances up to three feet. The Micropulse IPG utilizes the FCC's wireless communications standard for medical devices.
