Bob Strother is an expert in the design, development, testing and manufacture of medical devices, including class III active implantable medical devices (AIMD). He has been instrumental in the design and commercial implementation of neurostimulation systems for over 30 years.
His medical device industry experience includes positions implementing quality systems, and meeting quality assurance requirements and conformity assessment requirements for medical devices.
He has most recently worked for a neurostimulation start-up company and earlier, was a co-owner of the engineering firm Research Instrumentation Associates, Inc., which designed and manufactured ambulatory monitoring systems for large respiratory product companies. Bob holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, and has held the State of Ohio’s professional engineer certification since 1979.
