About NDI

about-us-imageNDI (Neuro Device Innovations) is a hybrid venture capital and commercialization firm focusing exclusively on innovative neurodevice technologies.  NDI pursues, funds and develops opportunities that address unmet clinical needs with the potential to provide significant returns to its investors.

NDI is focused on the worldwide market for neurodevices, such as stimulators, leads, surgical equipment and software – a market exceeding $6 billion per year. Significant growth is projected over the next decade due to age-related and treatment–resistant neurological diseases and disorders, including sub-acute and chronic pain, Parkinson’s disease, depression, epilepsy, obesity, stroke and other disorders.  Within the next decade, the neurodevice sector is expected to rival the $18 billion cardiac market, as new markets proliferate, especially in those areas where drug therapies are ineffective.

Founded in 2002, NDI is headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio with locations in North Carolina’s Research Triangle and Minneapolis, Minnesota.  NDI has a proven track record of moving technologies from innovation to commercialization. In April 2008, NDI sold its first portfolio company to Medtronic Inc. for $42 million, returning over 150 times the original investment back to investors.

ABOUT NDI HEALTHCARE FUND

Since 2008, the NDI Healthcare Fund and its portfolio companies have raised $26 million, including $17 million in private equity and another $9 million in grants and loans from sources such as the National Institutes of Health, U.S. Department of Defense, and the State of Ohio’s Third Frontier Program. These funds are used to develop opportunities exclusively in neurotechnology that address unmet needs and have the potential to provide significant returns to investors.
